R. STAHL 9440/22-01-11-C1243 IS1+ CPU & Power Module (CPM) for Zone 1
Product Description
The 9440/22-01-11-C1243 (Article No.162218) is a combined CPU and power module (CPM) for the R. STAHL IS1+ intrinsically safe remote I/O system, approved for Zone 1 / Div.1 hazardous locations. It acts as the station master gateway between the IS1+ internal backplane bus and upper-level fieldbus, while providing regulated Ex i power supply for up to 8 IS1+ I/O modules. It supports PROFIBUS DP, Modbus RTU and HART pass-through, and enables hot-swap replacement under power in explosive areas.

Features
- 24V DC powered CPM for IS1+ remote I/O station, Zone 1 installation Ex ia IIC T4
- Integrated intrinsically safe power supply for BusRail and connected I/O modules
- Fieldbus interface: RS485-IS, PROFIBUS DP V0/V1, Modbus RTU, HART tunneling
- Supports redundant fieldbus communication and fiber ring network expansion
- Hot-swap capable in hazardous zone without system shutdown
- Built-in station diagnostics, undervoltage monitoring and channel fault indication
- Service bus interface for FDT/DTM configuration and asset management
- Transmission rate: 9.6 kbps ~ 1.5 Mbps, PROFIBUS address range 0–127
Application Scenarios
- Oil & gas, refinery and chemical Zone 1 hazardous area remote I/O stations
- PROFIBUS / Modbus based DCS and PLC interconnection with HART instruments
- Intrinsically safe 4-20mA HART pressure, flow, temperature signal collection
- Offshore platform and petrochemical plant explosion-proof automation renovation
- IS1+ rack main controller and power spare parts replacement project
