Product Description

F2DO1602 HIMA HIMatrix 16-Channel Safety Relay Output Remote I/O Module

Product Description

The F2DO1602 is a SIL3 certified remote safety I/O module of HIMA HIMatrix series. It provides 16 relay output channels rated up to 30VAC / 60VDC. This DIN-rail mounted module has dual SafeEthernet ports for network communication with HIMatrix safety controllers. It adopts metal housing with EMC protection, designed for field-side installation to expand safety output points in SIS systems, and cannot execute user logic independently.

Key Functions

  • 16 safety relay outputs for switching solenoid valves, safety relays and alarm devices
  • Dual SafeEthernet interfaces for redundant safety network connection to safety CPU
  • Channel monitoring to detect wiring faults and abnormal load conditions
  • Fail-safe design: relay contacts de-energize to safe state upon communication loss or module fault
  • Front LED indicators for power, network status and individual channel fault alarms
  • Supports ELOP II engineering software for configuration, online diagnosis and commissioning

Application Scenarios

This F2DO1602 remote I/O module is applied in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Burner Management (BMS) and Fire & Gas (FGS). It is widely used in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and thermal power plants for field safety actuator control and safety interlock loops.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

  • Relay channel fault alarm: Loose field terminals, cable short circuit or contact wear of relay
  • SafeEthernet communication dropout: Damaged network cable, switch failure or incorrect network setting
  • Relay cannot actuate: Exceeded load rating, wrong wiring or insufficient load voltage
  • Intermittent channel malfunction: Cabinet vibration, moisture ingress or electromagnetic interference
  • Module offline: 24VDC power supply fluctuation or excessive ambient temperature
