Product Description
Product: ProSoft PLX32-EIP-MBTCP – EtherNet/IP to Modbus TCP Gateway Module
ProSoft Technology PLX32-EIP-MBTCP Industrial Protocol Translator for EtherNet/IP & Modbus TCP Network Interconnection
PLX32-EIP-MBTCP is an industrial-grade bidirectional protocol gateway developed by ProSoft Technology. It realizes seamless data conversion and transparent data transmission between EtherNet/IP industrial Ethernet network and Modbus TCP Ethernet protocol network. This gateway acts as a bridge for Rockwell Allen‑Bradley PLC, PAC systems communicating with Modbus TCP devices including inverters, meters, flow transmitters, data loggers, third-party PLCs and remote IO modules. It supports high-speed cyclic data exchange, independent network isolation, built-in data mapping table, and works stably in industrial harsh environments to solve heterogeneous network communication barriers in factory automation, power monitoring and process control systems.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
- Q: Does PLX32-EIP-MBTCP support simultaneous multiple Modbus TCP slave devices access?
A: Yes, the gateway supports polling multiple Modbus TCP slave IP addresses synchronously, users can set independent polling intervals for each slave device via configuration software. - Q: Why does the module COMM LED keep flashing red after power on?
A: Main reasons include incorrect IP address segment setting, disconnection of network cable, unmatched data mapping addresses, Modbus slave no response or EtherNet/IP controller connection failure. - Q: Can configuration parameters be backed up and restored when replacing a new gateway?
A: Configuration files can be exported as local files through PCB software or built-in web page. The same file can be imported directly into the new module to finish deployment rapidly. - Q: Is it allowed to connect EtherNet/IP network and Modbus TCP network to the same LAN switch?
A: It is not recommended. The dual isolated Ethernet ports are designed for network isolation; crossing network layout will lose the original network isolation safety performance. - Q: What is the maximum transmission delay of real-time I/O data transmission?
A: Under reasonable polling parameter settings, the typical data transmission delay is controlled within 10ms, which can meet most real-time industrial process control requirements.
