AC 800M Communication interfacesCI871A

The CI871A is an AC 800M communication interface that connects to the PROFINET IO devices through Ethernet. The TP867 Baseplate has two RJ45 Ethernet connectors, but only the CH1 connector that supports 100Mbps is used for PROFINET IO connection. The Ethernet cable must be connected to the PROFINET IO network through an Ethernet switch.

The CI871 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, a communication unit, and a DC/DC converter that supplies the required voltage from +24 V supply through the CEX-Bus.

The CI871A module will only work with System 800xA 6.0.3.3, 6.1.1 and subsequent versions

The CI873A is an AC 800M communication interface that connects to external Ethernet devices using the EtherNet/IP protocol. The TP867 Baseplate has two RJ45 Ethernet connectors, but only the CH1 connector that supports 100Mbps is used. The CI873 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, a communication unit, and a DC/DC converter that supplies the required voltage from +24 V supply through the CEX-Bus.

The CI873A module will only work with System 800xA 6.0.3.3, 6.1.1 and subsequent versions. The CI873A support 6 redundant pairs of CI873A from 5.1 FP4.

The CI874 is an AC 800M communication interface that connects to external Ethernet devices using the OPC UA protocol. The TP867 Baseplate has one RJ45 Ethernet connector that supports 100Mbps. The CI874 expansion unit contains the CEX-Bus logic, a communication unit, and a DC/DC converter that supplies the required voltage from +24 V supply through the CEX-Bus.

CI874 is represented as a hardware module within the Control Builder hardware tree. The CI874 module will only work with System 800xA 6.1.1 and subsequent versions.
