Use the 3500 System rack to mount all 3500 monitor modules and power supplies.  The rack allows you to place 3500 modules near one another, enabling them to easily communicate, and to mount p

wer supplies necessary to distribute power to each module.

3500 racks are available in two sizes: 

Full-size rack. 19-inch EIA rack with 14 available module slots. 

Mini-rack. 12-inch rack with seven available module slots. 

You can order 3500 racks in three formats: Panel mount. 

This rack format mounts to rectangular cutouts in panels, and secures to the panel using clamps supplied with the rack.  Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack. 

Rack mount. This rack format mounts the 3500 Rack on 19- inch EIA rails.  Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the rear of the rack. 

Bulkhead mount. This rack format mounts the rack against a wall or panel when it is not possible to access the rear of the rack.  Wiring connections and I/O modules are accessible from the front of the rack.  

The 3500/05 Mini-Rack is not available in this format. The power supplies and rack interface module must occupy the far-left rack positions.  The remaining 14 rack positions (seven rack positions for the mini-rack) are available for any combination of modules.

Renovation of the monitoring system for the natural gas compressor unit in the ammonia synthesis plant: The 7200 monitoring system originally used in the natural gas compressor unit of Zhongyuan Dahua Company is severely aged, with problems such as poor linearity, low sensitivity, long commissioning time and low reliability, which cannot meet the monitoring requirements for various parameters of the compressor unit rotor. So the monitoring system was transformed into a Bentley 3500 monitoring system. This system has the following advantages:

Computer software configuration: The functions of various types of modules are all configured by the software designed by the manufacturer itself through a computer, which can conveniently set the measurement range, alarm value, interlock value and other information of each monitoring point.

Dual redundant power supply automatic switching: The power module is a fully redundant dual power supply. If either power supply fails, the other power supply can take over the work to ensure continuous monitoring.

The commonly used modules are powerful: for instance, the 3500/42M module can not only monitor vibration and displacement but also axial position, thus saving the cost of spare parts investment.

Programmable relay module: Configured by computer software, it can perform multiple logical operations with interlocking conditions such as "and" and "OR" for various monitoring points within the framework. After adding a display computer, the real-time data and stored data of each monitoring point can be seen through the display software.

Monitoring of large rotating equipment in power plants, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical plants, etc. The Bentley 3300XL series sensors, when paired with relevant modules in the 3500 system, such as the 3500/25 module, 3500/40 module, 3500/42M module, 3500/72M module, etc., are used for vibration detection of large rotating equipment. Measure parameters such as vibration, velocity, acceleration and displacement of the rotor and casing, thereby achieving condition monitoring and protection of the equipment and ensuring its safe and stable operation.
