F-PWR01  F-PWR02  HIQuad X Power Supply Module


The HIMA F-PWR02 is a power buffer module used in the HIMA safety Instrumented system (SIS), and is particularly common in the HIMA HIQuad X system. Its main function is to provide a stable 24VDC power supply for the I/O processing module in the system and it has the ability to buffer voltage fluctuations.

Main functions and features

Power buffering and distribution: The core function of the F-PWR02 is to ensure that the connected I/O modules receive a stable and continuous 24VDC power supply. Even if the main power supply experiences a short-term interruption (for example, up to 20 ms), the F-PWR02 can maintain the power supply through its buffering capacity and prevent system interruption. This is crucial for maintaining the continuous operation of the security system.

Voltage fluctuation compensation: It can effectively compensate for voltage fluctuations, ensuring that the I/O module can still operate reliably in environments with poor power quality or transient voltage drops.

Redundant power supply support: The F-PWR02 can be used in conjunction with redundant power supply units to further enhance the power supply reliability of the system. This means that even if one power unit fails, the other can take over to ensure seamless power supply.

System Integration: As part of the HIQuad X system, the F-PWR02 is designed to seamlessly collaborate with other modules of HIMA, such as the F-CPU01 processor module and various I/O modules.

Safety-related applications: As it supplies power to critical I/O modules in security systems, the F-PWR02 is also designed to adhere to high safety standards, ensuring that it itself does not become the source of system failures.

Diagnosis and Signals: Generally, the power module of HIMA provides diagnostic information or relay contacts to indicate the power status, facilitating system monitoring and fault detection.
