HIMA F8650E Central Processing Unit module
The HIMA F8650E is a high-performance safety system central processing unit module produced by HIMA Corporation, mainly used in its programmable safety systems. This module is designed to handle complex security logic and data, ensuring the highest level of security and reliability in industrial applications.
Dual microprocessor architecture: The F8650E module is equipped with two clock-synchronized INTEL 386EX 32-bit microprocessors inside, each operating at a clock frequency of 25 MHz. This dual-processor design is the foundation of its high reliability and redundancy capability.
High safety: As part of the HIMA safety system, the F8650E is designed to meet strict safety standards, such as IEC 61508 SIL 3 (Safety Integrity Class 3), which indicates that it is suitable for critical applications that require the highest safety level.
Memory configuration: Each microprocessor is equipped with independent memory, including:
Operating system Flash-EPROM: 1 MB
User program Flash-EPROM: Typically 512 KB (depending on the operating system version)
Data storage SRAM: Typically 256 KB (depending on the operating system version), and backed up by battery to prevent data loss in case of power failure.
Communication interface: The module provides two RS-485 serial interfaces with electrical isolation, supporting multiple baud rates, for communication with other system components or external devices.
The diagnosis shows that the F8650E is equipped with a four-digit matrix display that can show selectable diagnostic information. In addition, there are two LED indicator lights (CPU and IO) for general error display, as well as a toggle switch for requesting detailed error information and a confirmation button for resetting the error indication.
Fail-safe shutdown: The module is equipped with a safety-related watchdog that can set the output to a safe state when a fault is detected. It can withstand a load of up to 500 mA and has short-circuit protection.
Structural design: Composed of two European standard PCBS, one of which is specifically used for diagnostic display circuits. The module occupies 8 SU (space units).
Power supply requirements: The working voltage is 5 VDC and the current consumption is approximately 2 A
