Product Description

Fireye 85UVF1‑1QDK3 Phoenix UV Flame Scanner

Product Description

The 85UVF1‑1QDK3 is a Fireye Phoenix series microprocessor‑based ultraviolet flame scanner with K3 special optical filter and 8‑pin quick‑disconnect connector. It integrates a solid‑state UV sensor and built‑in flame relay, eliminating the need for an external flame amplifier. It adopts solar‑blind UV detection principle and air purge interface, suitable for dusty, high‑temperature and harsh combustion environments. It can identify flame flicker characteristics and automatically set flame on/off thresholds, widely used in Burner Management System (BMS) for flame supervision and safety interlock.

Product Functions

  • UV spectrum flame detection, recognize flame flicker frequency to avoid false triggering by hot refractory or ambient light
  • 4‑20mA analog output for real‑time flame strength transmission to control system
  • Built‑in flame relay for flame present / flame loss switch signal output
  • Continuous electronic self‑diagnosis of sensor, circuit and window contamination faults
  • Automatic gain adjustment and self‑learning flame threshold during commissioning
  • Air purge port for cooling and cleaning the sight window in dirty working conditions
  • 8‑pin quick disconnect plug for fast installation and field replacement

Application Scenarios

  • Industrial gas burners, duct burners and low‑NOx combustion systems
  • Power plant boilers, waste heat furnaces and incinerators
  • Petrochemical heaters, refinery and off‑shore platform combustion safety monitoring
  • Steel plant blast furnace gas and coke oven gas burner flame supervision
  • Waste gas and waste oil combustion treatment equipment
  • BMS burner safety interlock and flame failure trip protection

Common Problems

  • False flame‑loss alarm:sight window covered by dust, oil contamination or insufficient purge air flow
  • False flame indication after burner shutdown:hot refractory radiation, optical filter aging or wrong installation angle
  • Unstable 4‑20mA signal:loose quick‑disconnect connector, cable interference or power voltage fluctuation
  • Diagnostic fault alarm:sensor degradation, internal circuit damage or inadequate 24VDC supply
  • No relay output when flame exists:incorrect self‑learn threshold or relay contact burnout
  • Intermittent detection failure:excessive operating temperature, vibration‑induced poor wiring contact
