Product Description
HiPAP TRX32 is a 32‑channel digital transceiver board designed by Kongsberg Maritime as the core electronic module for the HiPAP high‑precision underwater acoustic positioning system. It adopts marine‑grade rugged circuit design with conformal coating, integrated DSP signal processing circuits and multi‑frequency transmit/receive channels. Each channel connects to individual elements of the underwater transducer array, completing acoustic signal transmission, echo reception and digital beam‑forming calculation. The board is installed in the topside transceiver cabinet and communicates with the operator workstation via Ethernet, adapting to the severe vibration, humidity and electromagnetic interference of offshore marine environments.

- Support Cymbal spread‑spectrum acoustic protocol to suppress multi‑path reflection and marine noise interference

Common Problems
- Partial channel signal loss: Damaged transducer cable, connector corrosion, or individual transmit/receive circuit failure on TRX32 board.
- Poor positioning accuracy and unstable target tracking: Multi‑path acoustic interference, incorrect sound velocity data or degraded beam‑forming performance.
- Ethernet communication dropout: Loose network connector, fiber attenuation, incompatible firmware version or marine electromagnetic interference.
- Continuous self‑diagnosis alarm: Unstable cabinet power supply, internal component aging or overheating caused by poor ventilation.
- No acoustic signal transmission: Failure of the front‑end TRX32 filter PCB, short circuit on transducer wiring or board hardware damage.
