1. Product Description
The SPU232.2 029.366.817 (short name SPU2) is a high-reliability single processor logic control board manufactured by ALSTOM, belonging to Alspa Series 6000 DCS and turbine control system hardware portfolio, later integrated into GE power control product lines. It is a rack-mounted long PCB processor card with built-in ARM core processor, CAN bus communication interface, multi-channel signal conditioning circuits and galvanic isolation circuits. Designed for SIL4 safety critical industrial environments, the module adopts standard backplane slot installation, supports hot-swap maintenance, complies with IEC 61000 EMC anti-interference standards, and operates stably under wide temperature and high electromagnetic noise conditions of power plants and railway signal rooms.

4. Common Troubles & Issues
- CAN Bus Communication Disconnection
Cause: Loose backplane contact, damaged CAN bus cable, inconsistent node address, bus terminal resistor missing. Solution: Re-seat the card tightly, inspect bus wiring, unify module station address and install 120Ω terminal resistor.
- Logic Output Fails to Actuate Field Equipment
Cause: Damaged onboard output relay, overloaded output channel, wrong interlock logic configuration, loose field wiring terminals. Solution: Check channel load current, re-download control logic program, tighten all field signal wiring.
- Abnormal Generator Synchronization Detection Values
Cause: PT/CT signal cable aging, uncalibrated analog channel parameters, poor shielding grounding. Solution: Replace shielded measurement cables, re-calibrate voltage/frequency sampling parameters and reinforce cabinet grounding.
- Module Cannot Be Recognized by Backplane Rack
Cause: Dirty golden finger PCB contacts, insufficient rack 24VDC power supply, incompatible system firmware version. Solution: Clean PCB gold fingers with cleaning cloth, test rack power voltage and upgrade matching controller firmware.
- Random False Fault Alarms Under Vibration
Cause: Loose internal solder joints, unsecured terminal blocks, lack of cable shielding. Solution: Refix all wiring terminals, add cable tie fixation and connect cable shield to protective ground.
- Processor Card Overheat & Automatic Reset
Cause: Cabinet cooling fan failure, dust accumulation on PCB surface, long-time overloaded logic operation. Solution: Clean PCB dust, repair cabinet cooling system and optimize program logic cycle.
