Product Brief Description
Woodward 8237-1367 is the ProTech-GII panel-mounted triple modular redundant overspeed safety protection device, adopting 2-out-of-3 voting logic for rotating machinery safety instrument systems. It independently monitors shaft speed signals from three separate speed transducers, providing rapid trip action when overspeed, over-acceleration, sensor failure or loss-of-speed events are detected. This panel cutout installation safety unit works separately from turbine governing controllers, equipped with front HMI, 4-20mA analog output, Modbus communication and time-stamped event logging. It is widely stocked spare for gas turbines, steam turbines and high-speed compressors in power, oil & gas and process industries.
