Product Description

Woodward 5437-672 NetCon Field Terminal Module (FTM)

Product Description: The 5437-672 is a Woodward NetCon field termination module for MicroNet / MicroNet TMR turbine control systems. It acts as the wiring interface between the main control board and field actuators, specially designed for dual-channel bipolar servo actuator output signals. It provides screw terminal connections, signal filtering and surge protection for ±mA servo drive signals to electro-hydraulic servo valves, converting backplane bus signals into field-level control outputs for steam/gas turbine valve positioning.

Features:

  • Belongs to Woodward NetCon 5400 series, compatible with MicroNet TMR triple redundant turbine control rack
  • Dual channel bipolar servo actuator termination, supports ±mA proportional servo outputs
  • 37-pin connector to backplane, screw-clamp field terminals for easy wiring and maintenance
  • Built-in signal conditioning, noise filtering and transient suppression for EMC harsh power plant cabinet environment
  • Standard Eurocard board form factor, hot-swappable in MicroNet rack
  • Onboard status indicators for channel fault and wiring diagnostics
  • Matches Woodward servo output controller cards such as 5501-1428 series

Applications:

  • Gas turbine and steam turbine control system valve servo drive termination
  • Power plant MicroNet TMR redundant governor cabinet spare replacement
  • Oil & gas compressor turbine control panel
  • Industrial prime mover electro-hydraulic actuator control loop
  • Legacy Woodward NetCon system retrofit and maintenance project

FAQ:

Q: What is the function of 5437-672?
A: It is a field terminal module, not a main governor. It only routes and conditions servo output signals from the main controller to hydraulic servo actuators.

Q: Can it work on other Woodward platforms like 505 or easYgen?
A: No, it is exclusive to MicroNet / NetCon architecture and cannot be used standalone or with other series controllers.

Q: Is 5437-672 still in production?
A: The MicroNet NetCon series is obsolete. Available stock is NOS surplus or fully tested refurbished units.
