Product Description

The TC‑MUX021 is a rack‑mounted dual‑channel isolated serial communication interface module manufactured by Honeywell for the Expert LS DCS control system. It provides two galvanically isolated RS485/RS422 serial ports and supports Modbus RTU and Allen‑Bradley DF1 protocols. Powered by 24VDC from the backplane, it adopts a single‑slot compact structure and conformal coated PCB to resist dust, humidity, vibration and electromagnetic interference in industrial control cabinets. It acts as a bridge between the DCS controller and field serial devices, widely stocked as spare DCS communication hardware for process plants.

Common Problems

• Module RUN LED off and no communication：24VDC backplane power failure, loose rack backplane contact or internal circuit damage
