Product Description

The FC‑USI‑0002 is a rack‑mounted Universal Safety Interface (USI) communication processor module designed for Honeywell Safety Manager Safety Instrumented System (SIS). It is equipped with a dedicated Motorola communication processor, 8MB flash memory and 8MB ECC SRAM, offering four independent communication channels. The module works as a hardware firewall between the safety controller and external networks, isolating safety‑critical logic from non‑safety communication traffic. With conformal coated PCB and industrial‑grade components, it is installed inside the Safety Manager controller chassis for long‑term continuous operation in harsh plant control cabinets.

• Act as an independent communication coprocessor to offload all external communication tasks from the main safety CPU
• Provide four isolated communication channels supporting EUCN, Modbus TCP and serial protocols
