AFV30D‑A41262 Yokogawa Duplexed Field Control Unit
Product Description
AFV30D‑A41262 is a duplexed redundant Field Control Unit (FCU) manufactured by Yokogawa, designed for the CENTUM VP distributed control system. It adopts an active‑standby dual‑processor hot‑backup architecture with dual‑redundant Vnet/IP communication and dual power supply. This 19‑inch rack‑mounted controller executes real‑time process control and connects with FIO field I/O modules, HIS operator stations and engineering stations, delivering high availability for continuous process plants.

Product Functions
- Real‑time execution of continuous control, sequence control and interlock logic
- Automatic hot switchover between active and standby processors without system interruption
- High‑speed data exchange via redundant Vnet/IP with I/O modules and HMI stations
- Field device signal acquisition, PID regulation and output control calculation
- Built‑in hardware and self‑diagnosis for fault detection and alarm reporting
- Historical trend data and event logging for process tracking and analysis
Application Scenarios
- Petrochemical, oil refining and natural gas processing plants
- Thermal power, combined‑cycle power plant boiler and turbine control systems
- Pharmaceutical, fine chemical and food continuous production lines
- Water treatment, sewage disposal and pipeline monitoring systems
- Large‑scale process automation requiring non‑stop DCS operation
Common Problems
- Redundancy synchronization failure: Caused by sync cable aging, loose connection or inconsistent firmware versions of two processors.
- Vnet/IP communication interruption: Damaged network cable, switch fault or unstable network signal interference.
- Controller frequent switchover: Poor cooling ventilation, overheating or unstable 24V DC power supply.
- I/O data loss or abnormal control output: FIO bus failure, terminal contact oxidation or configuration download error.
- Self‑diagnosis alarm without shutdown: Component aging, fan degradation or internal hardware partial failure.
