Product Description

261A1812P013 UV Flame Detector Sensor

Product Description

261A1812P013 is an ultraviolet flame detector sensor applied for GE Frame 5, Frame 6, Frame 7 gas turbine units. It works with Mark V / Mark VI turbine control system and BMS burner management system, detects ultraviolet radiation generated by gas combustion flame, converts flame intensity into analog electrical signal and transmits to turbine control cabinet. Built‑in UV amplifier module, with explosion‑proof housing, it adapts to high‑temperature, high‑vibration hazardous environment on gas turbine site, serves as key safety component for flame monitoring and fire‑out protection.

Product Functions

  • Ultraviolet spectrum flame detection, effectively distinguish real combustion flame from visible light and thermal radiation interference.
  • Integrated UV pre‑amplifier, output proportional analog signal reflecting actual flame strength to BMS system.
  • Provide flame‑loss trigger signal for gas turbine, support protection interlock action upon burner fire‑out.
  • Explosion‑proof mechanical housing, suitable for hazardous area installation of gas turbine combustion chamber periphery.
  • Resist high ambient temperature, mechanical vibration and thermal radiation from combustion equipment.
  • Sensor self‑check function, can output fault signal for aging, circuit damage and cable breakage.
  • Direct matching with GE gas turbine flame signal processing board through dedicated high‑temperature cable assembly.

Application Scenarios

  • Thermal power plant GE Frame5 / Frame6 / Frame7 heavy‑duty gas turbine BMS burner management system.
  • Combined‑cycle power generation unit gas turbine flame safety monitoring loop.
  • Oil & gas industry gas‑turbine‑driven compressor set burner flame detection.
  • Hazardous industrial site requiring explosion‑proof flame sensing equipment.
  • Overhaul, spare‑part replacement and retrofit for existing Mark V, Mark VI turbine control system.

Common Problems & Troubleshooting

  • False flame‑out alarm under normal combustion: Check detector lens for soot, dust and carbon deposit contamination; clean lens surface, check installation viewing angle aiming at burner flame zone.
  • Low flame intensity reading: Verify detector installation distance; inspect aging or high‑temperature damage of connecting cable; check pre‑amplifier circuit performance degradation.
  • No signal output completely: Check cable open‑circuit, short‑circuit and terminal joint looseness; confirm sensor internal UV tube burnout, replace complete detector assembly.
  • Intermittent flame signal fluctuation: Inspect cable shielding grounding status, eliminate nearby high‑frequency EMI interference; check mechanical vibration causing connector loose contact.
  • Sensor over‑temperature fault alarm: Check heat‑shield protection structure; avoid detector directly exposed to excessive thermal radiation from combustion chamber.
  • Calibration deviation after replacement: Complete flame strength threshold parameter verification inside turbine BMS logic after installing new detector.
