4. Common Faults & Troubleshooting Issues
4.1 All Front Panel LEDs & Display Fully Off
Symptom: No display, no indicator lights activate. Root causes: Missing or insufficient control supply voltage, blown upstream protection fuse, incorrect PT/CT wiring, loose main power terminals. Solution: Re-verify programmable trip thresholds via front keypad, inspect relay output wiring, reset unit configuration to factory defaults then re-program.
4.5 Modbus RTU Communication Timeout & Data Loss
Symptom: SCADA/PLC cannot pull real-time data, frequent communication dropouts. Root causes: Incorrect Modbus address, mismatched baud rate/parity settings, reversed RS485 A/B wiring, missing bus termination resistor, excessive cable electromagnetic interference. Solution: Match communication parameters between host and monitor, swap RS485 data lines, install 120Ω termination resistor at bus endpoints, route communication cables separate from high-current power wires.

Symptom: Unit surface overheating, screen flickering, intermittent system resets. Root causes: Cabinet ambient temperature exceeding 70°C, blocked ventilation gaps, dust accumulation on internal circuit boards, overloaded relay output contacts. Solution: Improve cabinet forced air cooling, clear dust from unit heat vents, reduce external load connected to relay outputs.
