4. Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Issue 1: Thyristor overtemperature alarm, soft starter trips during repeated startup
Root Causes: Cabinet ventilation blocked, heat sink dust accumulation, excessive startup frequency exceeding rated value, loose power cable terminals causing heat buildup. Solutions: Clean heat sink dust, expand cabinet cooling space, reduce startup times per hour, retighten all main circuit screw terminals.
Issue 2: Motor startup current still too high, obvious voltage drop on power grid
Root Causes: Incorrect startup voltage ramp parameter, torque boost value set too high, mismatched motor rated current parameters, heavy load without pre-unloading. Solutions: Adjust initial voltage and ramp time, re-input motor nameplate rated data, unload mechanical load before startup.
Issue 3: Built-in bypass contactor fails to close after motor full speed
Root Causes: Bypass contactor coil damage, control circuit wiring loose, parameter bypass function disabled, contactor mechanical jamming.
