It features 8 independently software-configurable input channels, supporting full-range industrial thermocouples, 2/3/4-wire RTD/PT100/PT1000 resistive sensors and low-level millivolt signals, realizing one-module multi-sensor compatibility for diverse temperature monitoring scenarios. Built with industrial-grade ruggedness, it integrates 16-bit high-resolution ADC, full-channel electrical isolation, intelligent cold junction compensation and industrial EMC/surge protection, operating stably in -20°C to +70°C harsh environments with strong electromagnetic interference, dust and temperature fluctuations (steel mills, chemical plants, power stations, food processing). Fully compliant with ABB FBP (Flexible Bus Protocol), it achieves plug-and-play integration with all AC500 series CPUs and I/O expansion systems, serving as a core component for multi-point temperature monitoring and closed-loop control in industrial processes.

The 500MTM02 is equipped with a precision 16-bit ADC chip and high-stability signal conditioning circuit, delivering ±0.1°C measurement accuracy at 0~100°C and 0.01°C display resolution, meeting the high-precision temperature monitoring requirements of critical industrial processes. All 8 input channels are independently software-configurable without any hardware modification or rewiring, supporting mainstream industrial temperature sensors: Type J/K/T/E/R/S/B/N thermocouples, 2/3/4-wire RTD/PT100/PT1000 resistive temperature sensors and 0-200mV millivolt signals. The module integrates built-in intelligent cold junction compensation (CJC) with ±0.2°C compensation accuracy for thermocouple channels, eliminating the need for external compensation modules and reducing system wiring complexity. It also features adaptive 50Hz/60Hz notch filtering and low-pass filtering, effectively suppressing power line interference and noise for weak temperature signals, ensuring accurate and stable data acquisition.

The 500MTM02 adopts a full industrial isolation design to ensure reliable operation in high-interference environments, with 2.5kV electrical isolation between each channel and 1kV isolation between channels and ground, effectively eliminating cross-talk between channels and ground loop interference common in industrial sites. Each channel is equipped with multi-level protection functions: 30V DC overvoltage protection, surge protection compliant with IEC 61000-4-5 and anti-static protection meeting IEC 61000-4-2 standards, preventing module damage caused by sensor wiring errors or external voltage surges. The module integrates intelligent real-time fault diagnosis for all 8 channels, with automatic detection of sensor open circuit, short circuit, over-temperature and signal drift anomalies. Fault information is transmitted to the AC500 CPU in real time via the FBP bus, and each channel is equipped with an independent front-panel LED indicator for visual fault status, enabling on-site maintenance personnel to quickly locate and resolve problems, reducing industrial system downtime.

The 500MTM02 is fully compatible with ABB FBP (Flexible Bus Protocol), achieving plug-and-play integration with all AC500 series CPUs (500CPU03/02/01), expansion couplers (500SCM01) and power communication modules (500CSP04), supporting distributed I/O topologies for long-distance multi-point temperature acquisition in large-scale industrial plants. It features standard 35mm DIN rail mounting with a compact form factor (120×100×65mm), fitting into standard industrial control cabinets and distributed I/O enclosures without occupying extra space. The module uses detachable spring-type terminal blocks for fast and reliable on-site wiring, supporting direct connection with thermocouple/RTD sensors without external signal conversion or amplification modules, simplifying system installation. Powered by 24V DC (18-30V) from the AC500 system, it has reverse polarity protection and ultra-low power consumption (<3W), and the front panel is designed with clear multi-LED indicators for power, module operation, FBP bus status and 8 channel working conditions, realizing one-click visual system diagnosis.
