The Bently Nevada 3500/15 106M1079-01 is a Universal AC Power Supply Module for the Bently Nevada 3500 series machinery monitoring system. 

Its sole purpose is to convert an incoming AC voltage into a stable DC voltage that can power all the other modules within the 3500 rack.

• Universal AC Input: The "Universal" in its name means it can accept a wide range of AC input voltages, typically from 85 to 264 Vac rms, making it suitable for use in various power environments worldwide.

• Redundancy: The Bently Nevada 3500 rack has designated slots on the left side to accommodate one or two of these half-height power supply modules.

• When two are installed, they provide redundant power. One module acts as the primary power supply, and the second acts as a backup, ensuring that if one fails,

• the other can seamlessly take over without interrupting the operation of the entire system.

• Hot-Swappable: A key feature of the 3500 series, the 106M1079-01 module is hot-swappable. This means you can insert or remove a power supply module without needing to power down the entire rack,

• which is essential for maintaining continuous machine monitoring and preventing costly downtime.

• Power Input Module (PIM): This power supply module works in conjunction with a separate Power Input Module (PIM), which is installed directly behind it in the rack.

• The PIM provides the physical connection for the AC power input and often contains the input fuses. The part number 106M1079-01 refers specifically to the main power supply module itself
