DEIF AGC3 Automatic Genset Controller
Product Brief Description
DEIF AGC3 (AGC-3) belongs to Multi-Line 2 series, a full-featured automatic genset controller. It integrates measurement, engine control, synchronisation, load sharing and generator protection. It can work with DU-2/MKIII HMI panel via CAN bus for local operation and status display, widely used for marine and land-based generator power stations.

Features
- Multi operation modes: AMF mains failure, island, base load, peak shaving, import/export power, load transfer
- 3-phase true RMS measurement: voltage, current, frequency, kW, kVar, kWh, power factor
- Auto synchronisation and active/reactive load sharing for single or multiple gensets parallel
- ANSI protection: over/under voltage, over/under frequency, reverse power, overcurrent, engine overspeed
- M-Logic programmable logic, flexible DI/DO, AI/AO expansion via CIO modules
- Communication: CAN bus (for DU-2/MKIII and Multi-Line2 devices), Modbus RTU, optional Profibus / Ethernet
- Support J1939 engine communication, event log, configurable breaker control
- Aux supply 24VDC, panel mounting, compatible with DEIF Multi-Line2 system
Application Scenarios
- Marine power plant, multi-generator parallel and emergency power supply
- Land standby power, data centre, hospital AMF backup genset
- Oil & gas, mining, industrial self-consumption power station
- Grid parallel peak shaving and fixed power export projects
- DEIF Multi-Line2 system retrofit, controller spare replacement
FAQ
Q: What is the difference between AGC3 and PPU-3?
A: AGC3 is genset control + synchronisation + load sharing for generator running control; PPU-3 is protection & paralleling unit mainly for busbar and grid protection. They can coexist in one power station system.
Q: Can AGC3 work with DU-2/MKIII?
A: Yes. DU-2/MKIII is the matched remote HMI, connected by CAN bus to view data, set parameters and manual operate breakers.
Q: What is the difference between AGC3 and AGC4?
A: AGC3 is classic Multi-Line2 controller; AGC4 is upgraded version with more I/O, faster communication and richer power management options.
Q: Can it control multiple generators in parallel?
A: Yes, with power management option, it supports multiple units synchronisation and automatic load distribution.
Q: Is this controller available for spare replacement?
A: It is widely used Multi-Line2 genset controller. New surplus and refurbished units are supplied for marine and industrial power system maintenance.
