Product Description

F6215 HIMA HIQuad H41q/H51q 4-Channel Safety Analog Input Module

Product Description

The F6215 is a SIL3 certified 4-channel analog input rack module for HIMA HIQuad H41q / H51q safety system, complying with IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 functional safety standards. It is a plug-in card for HIQuad subrack, equipped with 12-bit A/D converter, supporting 4-20mA / 0-20mA current signal from field transmitters. Operating temperature range -20°C ~ +70°C. It communicates with HIQuad CPU via backplane safety bus, with galvanic isolation between field side and internal safety bus. It cannot run safety logic independently, used to collect analog process variables for safety protection loops.

Key Functions

  • 4 analog input channels for pressure, temperature, level and flow 4-20mA transmitter signal acquisition
  • 12-bit high resolution analog-to-digital conversion, with built-in continuous ADC self-test function
  • Channel-level wire fault diagnosis to detect wire break and short circuit on field signal loops
  • Galvanic isolation between field wiring and backplane bus to eliminate ground loop interference
  • Front panel LED indicators to display module running status and individual channel fault alarm
  • Backplane bus communication with HIQuad CPU for uploading process data and diagnostic information
  • Supports configuration, online monitoring and fault diagnosis via HIMA engineering software

Application Scenarios

This F6215 analog input module is widely deployed in Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Burner Management (BMS) and Fire & Gas (FGS). It is used in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical refining, thermal power plants and offshore platforms for analog signal collection inside HIQuad safety rack cabinets.

Common Issues & Troubleshooting

  • Analog reading deviation: Transmitter calibration drift, cable interference or loop resistance out of specification
  • Channel fault alarm: Field wiring open circuit, short circuit or transmitter power supply failure
  • Backplane communication error: Poor module insertion, gold finger dust contamination or backplane damage
  • No signal reading: Transmitter power loss, wrong wiring or damaged signal cable
  • Module not recognized by CPU: Wrong slot installation, firmware mismatch or hardware failure
