ELOP II V5.5 HIMA Safety Engineering Software
Product Description
ELOP II V5.5 is HIMA engineering configuration and programming software for HIMatrix safety controller series. It is a Windows-based safety programming tool complying with IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61508 functional safety standards, used to develop, configure, download and diagnose safety logic programs for HIMA SIL-rated safety instrumented systems. This version is widely adopted for legacy HIMatrix hardware commissioning and maintenance.

Key Functions
- Safety logic programming with FBD (Function Block Diagram) editor for SIS application
- Hardware configuration of HIMatrix CPU, I/O modules, communication interfaces and network settings
- Online download, upload and comparison of safety project to HIMA safety controller
- Online monitoring of process variables, channel status and real-time fault diagnosis
- Project documentation generation, safety report and offline simulation testing
- Support SafeEthernet, Modbus TCP and PROFIBUS communication parameter setup
Application Scenarios
ELOP II V5.5 is used for engineering, commissioning and maintenance of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Emergency Shutdown (ESD), Burner Management Systems (BMS) and Fire & Gas (FGS). It is deployed in oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation and chemical plants to program HIMA HIMatrix safety controllers.
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
- Cannot connect to controller: Wrong IP address, firewall blocking, damaged Ethernet cable or incompatible firmware
- Project download failure: Project verification error, insufficient controller memory or safety lock enabled
- Online monitor data frozen: PC network instability or controller cycle overload
- Software crash during editing: Operating system compatibility problem or project file corruption
- Offline simulation abnormal: Incorrect hardware configuration or version mismatch between software and target CPU
