Woodward 8280-1001 is the 723PLUS series digital speed & load controller (control assembly 9906-619), designed for reciprocating engines and gas turbines, supporting dual MPU speed input and torsional vibration filtering. It realizes generator speed regulation, isochronous/droop control, synchronization and multi-unit load sharing, compatible with DSLC digital synchronizer. It has abundant configurable analog and discrete I/O, multi serial communication ports, supports GAP programmable logic, WatchWindow software and handheld programmer for parameter tuning and fault diagnosis. The power supply range is 18–40VDC, nominal power consumption 40W, metal chassis suitable for hazardous area and high vibration power house environment. As a legacy prime mover control spare part, it is available as fully-tested surplus and refurbished units for maintenance and retrofit of existing 723PLUS control systems.
