Product Description

SICK DHSB‑T1 DUSTHUNTER SB Sender‑Receiver Unit

Brief Product Description

DHSB‑T1 is the sender‑receiver optical unit for SICK DUSTHUNTER SB series dust concentration monitoring systems. Based on backward scattered‑light measuring principle, it uses a modulated laser diode to detect airborne dust particles inside industrial gas ducts. Integrated optical transmitter, high‑sensitivity detector and signal processing electronics are built into one compact enclosure. Equipped with purge‑air interface to protect optical lenses from dust contamination, it delivers real‑time scattered‑light intensity data for calculating dust concentration. With robust industrial housing suitable for harsh flue‑gas environments, it supports RS485 service communication and status indication. Widely supplied as fully‑tested surplus and refurbished spare parts for on‑site maintenance and retrofit of existing continuous emission monitoring systems.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • Q: Measured dust readings stay zero or show abnormally low values?
A: Check purge‑air supply, optical lens contamination, laser unit failure, mounting offset or signal cable connection faults.
  • Q: System keeps reporting optical contamination warning or fault alarms?
A: Inspect purge‑air pressure and quality, lens surface dust accumulation, moisture condensation or aging optical components.
  • Q: Can DHSB‑T1 be disassembled or replaced while the duct is running at high‑temperature?
A: Isolate process gas, cool down equipment and follow site lockout‑tagout procedures; high‑temperature online replacement is strictly forbidden.
  • Q: Can DHSB‑T1 work with other brands of dust analyzers or CEMS controllers?
A: It is purpose‑built for SICK DUSTHUNTER SB series systems. Proprietary signal and mechanical interface prevent cross‑brand compatibility.
  • Q: Is SICK DHSB‑T1 available for brand‑new CEMS projects?
A: This legacy sender‑receiver unit has reached end‑of‑life. Only surplus and fully‑tested refurbished units are available for existing‑site maintenance work.
