Product Description
The TRICONEX 8112 is a high-density Remote Expansion Chassis (RXM Chassis) engineered by TRICONEX (Schneider Electric, former Invensys) for Tricon/Tricon CX SIL 3 safety instrumented systems (SIS) in critical industrial environments. As a core remote I/O expansion component, this rack-mount chassis is designed to extend the I/O capacity of the main Tricon chassis to remote locations via triplicated RS-485 I/O expansion bus or fiber-optic links (with RXM modules). It supports high-density hot-swappable TMR I/O modules (analog/digital/pulse), redundant power supplies, and seamless integration with Tricon main chassis—making it ideal for distributed emergency shutdown (ESD), fire & gas (F&G), process safety, and turbine/compressor control systems in oil & gas, chemical, petrochemical, and power generation industries where remote I/O placement is required.
