Hydran M2-X Transformer monitoring

Hydran M2-X is the next generation of the well-proven Hydran DGA monitoring solution series, which can continuously monitor gases and humidity, alert users of possible malfunctions, 

and minimize the risk of unexpected downtime. M2-X, relying on GE's strong industry expertise, provides optimized and low-maintenance monitoring equipment and extends the service life of sensors.

Hydran M2-X also offers a UL certified HazLoc version (Part number: M2-X-HZ), which can be installed on transformers in Class I Zone 2 hazardous locations

Hydran sensors offer both traditional Hydran composite gas (H₂, CO, C₂H₂, C₂H₄) sensors and standalone hydrogen (H₂) sensors. In addition, it can track the moisture content in the oil (with readings in %RH and ppm), 

and is compatible with various types of transformer oil (standard mineral insulating oil as well as newer natural and synthetic ester-based oils).

In addition to DGA monitoring, by connecting sensors, the Hydran M2-X can also monitor other parameters, such as the top layer oil temperature and load current. Moreover, 

by using an IEEe-based mathematical model, it can further understand the changes in the transformer's condition

Provide key data for the APM strategy and promote the planning of on-site intervention and maintenance activities

The M2-X-HZ version has been certified and is suitable for use in hazardous locations. Under normal operating conditions, the flammable concentration of flammable gases, vapors or liquids is unlikely to exist, but the risk still persists.
