The 8111 features three identical and independent processing channels that execute the same safety logic in parallel, with majority voting to eliminate single points of failure. It supports hot-swappable module maintenance, redundant power inputs, seamless integration with TRICONEX I/O and communication modules, and advanced self-diagnostics for hardware health, voting integrity, and system status monitoring—with improved performance and scalability over the legacy 8110 controller.
