IS200JPDFG1A Power Distribution Board (GE)
The IS200JPDFG1A is a power distribution board developed by General Electric (GE). The JPDF board accepts redundant 125V DC power inputs and distributes power to other system boards. It utilizes a ground-centered floating DC bus instead of a grounded system, enabling it to detect system ground faults and featuring a safe 125V DC live rating.

Features of IS200JPDFG1A
- 125V DC battery power input is connected to the terminal block on the module. The power supply passes through a 125V DC 30A circuit breaker and line filter before being connected to the circuit board via the J1 connector.
- AC voltage is then distributed to three fused non-switched outputs and six fused switched outputs. AC power is transmitted through the circuit board to the DACA module, where it is converted to DC power.
- DC power returns to the JPDF and is mixed with the battery power input. The JPDF can use any combination of one or more valid inputs to provide a highly reliable 125V DC power supply for the control system.
- The JPDF module provides complete status feedback through the PPDA I/O interface. Feedback includes bus voltage detection, ground fault detection, and overvoltage detection of AC voltage on the DC bus. Each fused branch circuit is checked for output power presence.
Installation
The module is mounted vertically on the metal backplane inside the PDM cabinet. The JPDF metal plate must be connected to the system's protective earth (PE).
DCHI and DCLO terminals receive battery input power. When one or two DACA modules are used, the JAF1 terminal is connected to AC power, typically supplied by the JPDB module. JZ2 and JZ3 connectors link the DACA modules to the JPDF. The system's output circuits are connected as per documentation.
For power distribution systems with the PPDA power diagnostic I/O package, a 50-pin flat cable is required to connect JPDF connector P1 to the P2 connector on the circuit board containing the PPDA. This connection can be extended to other core PDM boards via the P2 connector.
Ground Fault Detection
The module supports a high-resistance DC bus centered at ground potential. This configuration detects ground faults when the positive and negative bus voltages reach ground potential. It includes independent voltage feedback detection for positive and negative power supplies relative to ground potential to support this configuration.
When the feedback circuit is connected to the PPDA I/O module, the system detects ground faults. The resistance used to ground the DC bus determines the sensitivity of ground detection and the possible ground fault current that may flow.
It features a centering resistor selected by jumper JP1. If the centering resistor is provided by other components, the JPDF jumper should remain open. In this case, the JPDF is designed to minimize centering resistance in the system. If the JPDF provides centering functionality, JP1 should be closed. If two JPDF modules are used, only one module's JP1 jumper should be closed.
