ACS6000C medium-voltage AC drive system

The ACS6000C is a medium-voltage AC drive system launched by ABB, specifically optimized for variable torque loads such as fans, pumps and compressors. It is a member of the ACS6000 series. The following is a detailed introduction about it:

Core characteristics

Integrated design

Compact structure: The rectifier unit, inverter unit and control unit are highly integrated, reducing the floor space by approximately 50% compared to traditional multi-drive systems and lowering installation and maintenance costs.

Simplified wiring: By adopting pre-assembled modules and standardized interfaces, the on-site commissioning time has been significantly reduced.

High efficiency and energy saving

Four-quadrant operation: Supports energy feedback to the power grid and is suitable for applications with frequent starts and stops or requiring braking (such as speed control of large fans and pumps).

IGCT technology: Integrated gate converter thyristor (IGCT) combined with DTC direct torque control achieves precise speed and torque regulation, with a system efficiency of over 98%.

Grid friendliness

Low harmonic: By adopting active front-end (AFE) technology, the harmonic distortion (THDi) of the input current is less than 3%, eliminating the need for additional harmonic filters and reducing interference to the power grid.

High power factor: The power factor is close to 1, reducing reactive power loss and optimizing grid load.

Intelligent control

DTC direct torque control: Its response speed is 10 times faster than that of traditional vector control, achieving millisecond-level dynamic response, and is suitable for loads that require rapid acceleration and deceleration.

Built-in process control functions: Supports PID regulation, flow/pressure control, multi-pump linkage and other functions, and can be directly integrated into industrial automation systems.

Water cooling heat dissipation: It adopts a highly efficient water cooling system, with a heat dissipation efficiency five times higher than that of air cooling, thereby extending the lifespan of power modules.
