ABB REF615 is a dedicated feed protection and control relay, belonging to the ABB Relion® product series and the 615 protection and control product series. It is designed for the protection, control, measurement and monitoring of public substations and industrial power systems, including radial, ring and mesh distribution networks with or without distributed generation.

Characteristics

Compact design and withdrawable unit: The 615 series relays are characterized by their compact structure and withdrawable unit design, which facilitate installation, maintenance and replacement.

Strong communication capability Supports multiple communication protocols, including IEC 61850 Version 2 (including binary and analog horizontal GOOSE message passing), process bus conforming to IEC 61850-9-2 LE, IEC 60870-5-103 and Modbus®, etc. It can well realize the communication and interoperability among substation automation equipment.

Rich protection functions: It provides directional and non-directional overcurrent protection, thermal overload protection, as well as directional and non-directional ground fault protection and other multiple protection functions.
