• Dual Redundancy: The "Dual" in its name refers to the redundant architecture. It has two separate output circuits, providing a layer of redundancy that is more economical than a full TMR module while still offering significant fault tolerance.

• Safety-Critical Applications: The 3664 module is specifically engineered for use in applications that require a high level of safety integrity, such as Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems and Burner Management Systems (BMS) in industries like oil and gas, petrochemical, and power generation.

• Diagnostics: It includes built-in diagnostics that monitor the health of the output circuits and connected devices. It can detect faults like stuck-ON or stuck-OFF conditions and report them to the main controller, allowing for proactive maintenance.

• Voltage-Loopback Circuit: This feature allows the module to verify the integrity of each output switch independently of the connected load. It can detect latent faults that might not be apparent during normal operation.

• Hot-Swappable: Like other Triconex modules, the 3664 can be replaced while the system is online, minimizing downtime during maintenance or repair.
