A serial COM port: Specifically designed for redundant operations, it provides a reliable communication interface for serial devices.

Grounding mechanism

Separate grounding screw connection: In addition to the grounding wire required for power connection, 

the connection device also includes a separate grounding screw connection to ensure a stable electrical grounding, thereby enhancing safety and reliability.

Gateway function

HSE and on-board port gateway: This device serves as a gateway between HSE and four on-board ports, facilitating seamless data exchange and communication among different network segments.

Link Master Station (LM) and System Management (SM) time publisher: For each port, 

the link device simultaneously acts as a link master station (LM) and system management (SM) time publisher to ensure efficient network management and synchronization.

Compatibility

Redundancy support: This linked device supports simplex and hot backup redundancy operations, providing flexibility and reliability for system configuration. 

In hot backup mode, two physically linked devices are interconnected using a serial RS-232 zero modem cable to form a logically linked device, 

known as a redundant group. Redundant control information is shared through the RS-232 cable, thus achieving seamless synchronization between the main equipment and the auxiliary equipment.

Automatic failover mechanism: If the main equipment malfunctions, the auxiliary equipment will automatically take over the control to ensure continuous and uninterrupted operation. 

This automatic failover mechanism can mitigate the impact of equipment failures on the overall system performance, thereby enhancing system reliability.

Redundant role switching: When a faulty linked device is replaced, it will be automatically configured to match the Settings of the primary device and act as an auxiliary device in the redundant group. 

In addition, if an H1 segment connector is disconnected from the main link device, a role switch will only occur when there are two or more H1 devices on that segment. 

This intelligent role switching mechanism optimizes redundancy management while ensuring the efficient utilization of system resources.
